What is the grammatical term for both? Any difference in meaning?

If "you" in "you use" refers to people in general then the meanings are near enough the same. I prefer (1) and (4), but they are all acceptable in everyday language. g.

If "you" in "you use" refers to people in general then the meanings are near enough the same. I prefer (1) and (4), but they are all acceptable in everyday language.

(2) and (3) could also be used with "you" in "you use" really meaning "you", e.g. if there is something special about the way that person uses it.
