I am confused about the use of the second conditional. I will be grateful if someone answers.

1. "If that were the rule, I could say that I am getting hurt by your attitude."
2. "If that were the rule, I could say that I was getting hurt by your attitude."

Which of them is correct? Please guide me about the tense that should be used in the main clause of the second conditional. Thanks in advance Emotion: smile
