Thanks a lot for replying so quickly and correcting the sentence. But I wanted to know what part of the sentence I posted wrong. Please reply. I know we can not use does and and gets together in a sentence but are there any exceptions?

The helping verb do (does, did, done) always is used with the infinitive (the dictionary entry for a verb). That is also true for the modal auxiliary verbs (can, could, would, should, may, might, will, ought to)
