I´m not sure about one sentence. Could you help me, please?

The Thames flows 31 miles in London. - Is the sentence OK or I have to change it?

Hi, I wouldn't say 'in' is incorrect, but it is not natural. I prefer The Thames flows 31 miles through London . Clive

I wouldn't say 'in' is incorrect, but it is not natural.
I prefer
The Thames flows 31 miles through London.
