Hi
Please help me with this.
1.We state an issue and give an example. The sentence which precedes the example, can it be like this " Here is an example to this effect"?
2. The crime was committed by Two men posing as tourist guides/who posed as tourist guides.
I think the second is OK, but the first one sounds a little odd to me.

  • This phrase does not fit well in your context as described above I'd just say 'Here is an example'.

'To this effect' basically means 'giving this result'. This phrase does not fit well in your context as described above
I'd just say 'Here is an example'.
