Please tell me whether these are grammatical.
1. The sale of tobacco is going on at a high rate.
2. You need to take into the people walking ahead.

The first is grammatical. In the second sentence, I suppose you missed out a word. I think you intended to say:
You need to take into account the people walking ahead.
You need to take into consideration the people walking ahead.

These are correct.

Hi,1. The sale of tobacco is going on at a high rate.2. You need to take into the people walking ahead. Both are not correct. The first one is not clear as to the price of the tobacco going to hike of the sale of the tobacco is going to increase. When a sentence is not clear, it can't be correct. # 2 needs to be written in another way for clarity. It is meaningless as is.
