Hi

Can you help?

1.He felt the maiden's voice was sweeter than those of a nightingale and a cuckoo.

Is this sentence correct?

2.His speech had a great impact on/in everyone.

If either is correct here, can you tell the places where only one is correct or natural?

3. We say he is retired policeman, teacher and so on with regard to the people who have completed the stipulated years of service in organised sectors.

Can we say he is retired hunter?
