Hi

Can you help?

1."So as we move about appreciating the good in others and not taking to our hearts the bad in them or grumbling about others' shortcomings, we seem crazy to others."

Do I need to add 'not' before grumbling or the one before 'taking' is common for both?

2. I take tuition. Is take correct? If it isn't can you suggest a suitable verb?
