what sort of grammar section do the following sentences belong to ?

Where can find these types of applications in grammar books ? (I know these are passive but they have been used ina different way. that is what I want to learn.)

1.Place suitable dunnage under the load to prevent the ropes being trapped.

2.Some can handle high power and others cannot being made for weak signal work.
