If his family/surname is "John" this is okay. We see a lot of English users refer to "Jim Smith" as Mr. Jim and not Mr.

If his family/surname is "John" this is okay.

We see a lot of English users refer to "Jim Smith" as Mr. Jim and not Mr. Smith, or "Peter Cooper" as Mr. Peter. Don't do this. Does your reader know what "at that time" refers to?


Why has Mr. [John] raised this matter now?

Argh. The "strikeout" function doesn't work for me. Neither do colors any more apparently.

The "d" in raised was supposed to have a line through it.
