I am extremely sorry, Mister Micawber!

Please give me some suggestions (excercises I can work on) to improve my knowledge in correcting
sentence structure, that is style

For example
I prefer sentence -Although some people regard computer as mechincal geniuses, the truth is that computers cannot think at all to the sentence -Although the truth is that comupters cannot think at all, some people regard them as mechincal geniuses.

When my pupils ask me why the sesond one is incorrect I am unable to give them a convincing asnwer.

Can you help me?
