eg Make and I love Mary.



eg Mary loves Mike and me.

If in doubt leave the other person out and see what you would say.

Mike and ? like to play football : I like to play football. So therefore it is Mike and I.

This is a photo of Mike and ? on holiday.: This is a photo of me on holiday. = Mike and me.

i think it would be better to say " Mike and I ".

You cannot say "Mike and I" for every occasion. Just as you cannot say “ Me went to the cinema” or “ This is a photo of I” . The correct word needs to be used whether Mike is involved or not.
