Thanks. That's my choice as well but I don't know how to defend it (and I have to).

You can defend it on 2 counts:
(1) The use of the objective pronoun has now become acceptable to all but the most prescriptive grammarians.
(2) The possessive form, because it is far from its noun and because it is repeated in the sentence, makes the utterance difficult to understand.
