I wanted to send a note to my old high school friend who has a deadly disease and is going through the chemical treatments.

Please correct this for me or show me a way to express it correctly:

"Even though, you never complaint about the discomforting, but I know it’s there and many times, I truly wish that I can take some of it for you".
