hello ,as far as I know two sillable adj.-s are changed by adding "est" .Could you explain please why stupid becomes the stupidest in superlative form ? Shouldn't it be "the most stupid"? thanks in advance...

Three (and more) syllable adjectives use the premodifier most to make the superlative. One- and two-syllable adjectives use the suffixes -er / -est. There are cases where either most or the suffix can be used: That is the most stupid idea that I ever heard.

For two-syllable adjectives (note the correct spelling) you usually have a choice: add est or use most before the adjective.
