Grained ash

O, let me twine
Mine arms about that body, where against
My grained ash an hundred times hath broke,
And scar'd the moon with splinters !

Here does grained mean just bearing grain?

And can I paraphrase into like this?
-> My grained ash has broken a hundread times

Thanks!

'Grained ash' is I presume a fighting stick or mock sword, made of ash wood (and wood has 'grain', growth marks).
