Governorship or Governor's office?
In Turkey, the highest authority of a province is the governor and we have 81 of them, not to mention the district governors whose number is over 800. Yet, we all experience difficulties in describing the positions in that area in English.
Most of us here use 'Governorship' like in;
"I work at Istanbul Governorship",
"On behalf of Ankara Governorship we ...." or
"The Izmir Governorship announces that they will provide ..."
But in my google search I found the usage 'Governorship' more like defining the state of being governor (or maybe I interpreted it wrongly). But searching further I found a different definiton that we never knew of: 'Governor's Office'
What definition is the correct one to use, especially in the above sample sentences, and are there cases when we should use Governorship and Governor's Office as to express different states?
