Governments spend millions of dollars each year on their space progammes. Some people think this money would be better spent on dealing with problems closer to home

Since Yuri Gagarin flied outer space, Space has become one of the most curious and interesting things for Scientists and Governments. More and more Space foundations have established such as NASA, ESA...and each year, the money spend on researching always higher than before. As result of investing a huge amount of money on this, some people said that had used this money for solving problems on Earth. It is difficult to deny but the knowledge about Universe has given us advantage a lot.
It is not doubt that astronomy help to clear a lot of our misunderstand about Universe in the past. Popularly, Geocentric Model - the theory that Earth is the center in Galaxy had been accepted in a long time, it even had been protected by Church, until Nicolaus Copernicus's theory published. Moreover, scientists can explain the cause of the tides which depend on the move of the Moon around the Earth or when the meteor will appear. They are both valuable information.
After many years researching the Universe, we all know that how tiny and fragile our planet are in the Galaxy so we must have more knowledge about it as we can. Just in case the rumors about Aliens are true whatever they are good or not we should know. Beside that, if the scientists find another planet where people can live it is an effective solution for overpopulation.
Overall, Governments should continuously invest on their discovering space programs. Nevertheless, they need a balance between how much they spend on researching and how much they use for economic or poverty.
