Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree with statement?

Recently, the transportation system is facing the proportion of severe accidents,
traffic jams and other problems because of urbanization and population booming.
It is argued that the government should focus on investing in railways rather than
roads. In my opinion, I agree with good ideas because of benefits’ train brings.
Firstly, investing in modern railways helps citizens convenience transfer. This is
because trains have special rail systems so trains achieve speed faster than cars.
Moreover, the train can carry numerous people and goods, thus decreasing the
number of vehicles on the roads while passenger trains do not face congestion.
Therefore, people will spend less time commuting and more time doing something
more productive which leads to benefits for the entire society.
Secondly, The high speed trains help to foster nation development including both
environment and finance major. In fact, trains use less of the average fuel than
cars, and emission alike. In addition, the modern railways help to attract train
travel because of cheap tickets and saving time. Passenger trains can do sightseeing
along the way without stress from complicated roads. On the other hand, along
with train stations are numerous services such as restaurants, coffee shops…which
lead to job opportunities for many people, thus reducing social evils.
In conclusion, I completely agree with idea government spend large budget for
develop trains systems than cars because of benefits which using modern railways
bring.
