Government - Writing task 2

Please help me check my writing and improve it. If possible, give me a score and some comments.Thank you very much in advance!

It is impossible to help all people in the world, so government should only focus on people in their own countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree:?

It is sometimes argued that governments should only be concerned about people who live in their own countries instead of helping all needy people all over the world which is beyond their ability. In my opinion, this is a narrow viewpoint in the era of globalization.

It is undeniable that the major fuction of governments is to foster their citizens’ quality of life. Howerver, strengthening morality among human is also an important task and helping people no matter where they live in is one of the typical actions to show this spirit. Moreover, thanks to the innovation of current transport, providing aid becomes more and more convenient even to the remotest areas of the world. For example, only by the mean of a helicopter within an hour, food and basic neccessities from America could be conveyed to tsumani victims in Japan to help them overcome difficulties.

On the other hand, governments and their countries are likely to receive a variety of benefits from assisting foreign people. Firstly, helping others is an effective way to prevent threats from happening to their own countries. For instance, European Union actively sponsors to international agencies to help African people escape from poverty and diseases, which indirectly leads to the decline of illegal immigration. Secondly, relationship between two countries, the cornerstone of cooperation in economics and politics, is probably consolidated through mutual aid.

In conclusion, I believe that governments should not only concentrate all resources on tackling their own countries’ problems but also establish funds for international aid.
