Government with a capital?

Hi there,

When do we spell the word government with a capital letter?

I'm wondering about the following sentence:

'The Liberal Party was voted into government at the last election.'

Does government need a capital letter in this sentence?

If so, why?

Thanks in advance,

That's not a natural sentence.
We say
eg The Liberal Party was voted into office in the last election.
