Got xyz asking

Hi,

I heard the following statement in a phone conversation. I am trying to understand the use of the underlined phrase. Was it used to mean: because my backoffice wants to know. Also could you give a few more examples with that phrase?

Hi, how are you….just got my backoffice asking…have you sent our most recent payables…

Thanks,

MG.
