GOT vs MADE and ACCUMULATE

Could you please help me with this?

1 It got me thinking./It made me think.
2 Since your water tank is so small, can you not use the shower for a few days and accumulate the hot water and take one long shower. (I know this isn't possible; but is ACCUMULATE the right word?) how would you say it?)
3 The product is good 2 to 5 days after the use-by-date whether its yougurt or bread. (is this ok?)

thank you
