Can "got" be used with a similar meaning as "caught" -- just a lighter connotation? Suppose that a kid (or adult) runs out of the house, forgetting an item he should've taken. Someone in the house runs after him, and, once back, he says to other people in the house: "I got him halfway out the door." Is this the same meaning as "I caught him halfway out the door"? Thanks.
