Grammar experts, please tell me the difference between these two sentences:

I must have got the times mixed up.

I must have mixed up times.

or

I think you might be mixing up Whetherall and Newton.

I think you might have Whetherall and Newton mixed up.

or

I always mix him up with his brother. They look so much alike.

I always get him mixed up with his brother. They look so much alike.
