Which is grammatically correct - "I have got a book" or "I have a book" ?

Which is grammatically correct - "I got married" or "I married" ?

I would say I've got a book , contracted, or I have a book . I would not say I have got a book , without the contraction. As as stand-alone sentence, I got married .

As as stand-alone sentence, I got married.

As part of a sentenced (I married my husband in 2003, or The minister married four couples on one busy Saturday in June), then I married is correct.
