Please advise if both sentences below are correct:

Now I got paid for my work.

I got cheated by a shop who fixed my computer.

What I want to know is if got can be used for both present and past event. Thanks.

Got is past tense. Use get for present and future tenses.

I got paid for my work. (if you received money from work)

Now I get paid for my work. (if you didn't get money, and do now)

I got cheated by a shop that fixed my computer. (it happened in the past)
