0 IT's hard to tell exactly which mark it is here (very small text) and without knowing the language, but these marks are called 'diactritics'. They are not used in English. I'm not aware of one called 'gossip' so perhaps that is a translation of the native language name for it and it doesn't make sense in English. See here 01a05000 0
