good/close/familiar friends

I'm baiscally a shy short of person, but very frank with good/close friends.

I'm basically a shy short of person, but very frank with familiar friends.

Please correct my sentences. Also tell me the difference beteen "close friends" and "familiar friends". I would understand the both as having the same meaning, at least in this context.
