Goodbye

Just as one rotting fish in the bilge can stink up an entire boat, or one yob can ruin a party, one lowlife from AUE's past a past where I had hoped he'd remain can ruin a newsgroup, for me, even one as good as AUE. So be happy you've won, Michael *** West, for you're the only person whose presence has ever forced me to leave a newsgroup. Knowing you've soured my day for the last time is the reward I get, and I'm grateful for that much.

I'm sure he'll be back.
One wonders why he didn't just killfile me, as I did him a few days ago when his inexplicable obsession with me began to spoil my enjoyment of this group.

Charles!!! If someone's making this newsgroup a miserable experience for you, then kill-file that person. Plus, not only do you not have to read that person's posts, but when you see someone h

"Interesting" has to be taken as relative. Which would I rather read:
1. An in-depth discussion of the use of gerunds in technical writing,or
2. A lively debate on alveolar fric

Chuckmeister, ole buddy, don't be silly. Like me, you've fought with many and much bigger ******** in AUE and stayed around.

AUE needs you for various reasons, including as an antidote for the unbearably drab contributions by such booores as Harvey Van (sic) Sickle &

West's obnoxious posts, expressing his ignorant ideas, appeared in AUE well before your arrival here, so you know zilchly-poo about them.
