Good writers who can join related ideas to make a sentence
Hi, please help me form a sentence- or sentences- out of these related ideas:
1.You are not an expert in Biology. 2.And you occasionally mislead when answering posts. 3.Therefore, I think you should let the experts answer first, 4.because the experts are more likely to answer questions that have not been answered yet, and obviously we want answers from them.
The reason I had difficulty creating the sentence is because there is one main point (clause): I think you should let the experts answer first, and the other three points are reasons why you should let the experts answer first. I'm finding it hard to connect all three adverbial clauses to the main clause without it being too wordy and ambiguous.
So I thought about breaking the sentence up--but I think it should be left as one, since three of the points seem to be dependent on the one main clause. Understand what I mean?
Thanks for your help.

So you are saying it is better to keep simple sentences and let the reader make the obvious connections between each idea, rather than make complex sentences that are wordy, such as this?

Can't you make it shorter by switching the subject from I to you (and omitting the 'I think', which is fairly obvious)? Now you can share the subject in the introduction.
Not being an expert in Biology and giving misleading answers occasionally, you should ...
(even better if you can replace 'not being an expert' with something like 'being an amateur/student')
Being an amature in Biology and occasionally posting misleading answers, you should let the experts answer first, since the experts are more likely to answer unanswered questions.
I like it Ferdis! I'm still not sure if it's the best though. Because there is so many points to the sentence, I think breaking it up may be better. Who knows th
