Good try

Boy: What does cook mean?
Mom: Look, these sausages are cold. Now, I don't like cold sausages,
so I turn on this little electric stove.
Boy: A stove? Oh, it's getting hot.
Mom: Yes, and when I put the food on it, the food gets hot too,
and to make food hot is called cooking.
Boy: So you have a place to cook.
Mom: Yes, but this is only a little stove, to cook all my meals I need a large
stove and a special place to do my cooking.
Boy: A cooking room.
Mom: Good try, but actually it's called a kitchen. You see; this is a kitchen.
