It's one topic sentence for my literary analysis essay, he compares his lack of understand of French to the improbabilities of the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection, the Easter Bunny and the French flying bells,
I don't understand French either, but what does that have to do with the Easter bunny? There must be some fundamental point here. A good topic sentence would state the point that the author is making, not how he is making it. The essay would then show how the author uses literary devices to prove his point.
