I think you played good or well today.

Are both possible here?

Thank you. How about:

You did good on the exam.
You did a good job.

Is good casual in both of these as well. the use of 'well' does not sound right in the second (you did a well job).

Please re-read the posts here. Well is a adverb; good is an adjective which is sometimes erroneously used as an adverb.
