Good morning

Hi

I have a question about "good morning".

I have heard more than once that when we meet a person for the first time in a day, we should greet him/her good morning though it is after 12 p.m.

Please share your views.

Who have you heard that from? No, certainly in the UK we do not ever say "Good morning" beyond midday (except by mistake if we don't know the exact time, or perhaps facetiously). It would be wrong to do so.
