I do not think that interpersonal is optional. You can have several types of relationships. There could be a relationship between two lovers, between a brother and a sister, between an employer and employee, between an owner and a pet, between a person and non-living things, such as money.

All relationships between people are 'interpersonal'. That's what the word means.

I agree that, in this context, it's good to say 'business relationships'. It's more precise.
