Good at memorizing

Hello,

Do my sentences sound proper English?

Children can learn about their abilities and limitations. For example, when I was a high school student, I always got good grades in natural sciences since I could memorize very well. So, I realized I was good at memorizing ( or should I say I have good memory?). Therefore, I chose medicoine.

Thank you in advance.

'good at memorizing' sounds fine to me. But 'I have good memory' is not appropriate in this context because the consistency of tenses isn't maintained. So 'had' should be in place of 'have'.

  • It can be either: 1) So, I realized that I was good at memorizing.
  • or 2) So, I realized that I had a good memory.
