gone shopping at/in/to that new store

a. My mother has just gone shopping at that new store.

b. My mother has just gone shopping in that new store.

c. My mother has just gone shopping to that new store.

Which of the above three sentence is correct, and which is not? Also, which sounds the most natural to native speakers?

My mother has just gone to that new store. (We assume that she will shop there.)

There is something that I don't quite like about these sentences. It's not that they are wrong…but I would frame it differently.

a. My mother has just gone to shop (/do some shopping) at that new store. (Correct and likely how I'd say it)
b. My mother has just gone to shop (/do some shopping) in that new store. [Correct, but I'd prefer (a)]
c. My mother has just gone
