Gone

I have heard that I have gone to Dubi is an incorrect sentence but can anyone give any reference where it is explained that the sentences is wrong?

There are other ways that could make it incorrect.
1. You forgot the ending punctuation.
2. You added one more word.

X I have gone to Dubai yesterday.

What I read in some grammar books is that gone can not be used with I, you, and we. We should use been instead.

I have visited Dubai. = I have been to Dubai.

You cannot use "go" to mean "visited" at some time in the past.

But you can use it to mean "make a journey."

A: Have you ever gone to Mecca?
B: I have gone several times to Mecca for the week of the Hajj.
A: I admire you for that.
