cheers. I thought so but I have a client who is calling it karats while he is building his website and I must admit there are tons of 'karats' on the web. I'll just have to stick a dictionary under his nose!

I think "karat" (K) is the measure of purity, while "carat" (ct) is the measure of weight.

But we had better wait for an aurifex to pass by...
