Going vs goes

Hi,

I'd like to ask a question about some grammar problem I had recently.

We had an English class and there was an exercise where we were supposed to choose from three possible answers. There was one sentence in which I thought I knew what the right answer was but our teacher told me otherwise. Here it is:

Jake goes jogging every day as well as ..... to gym regularly.

a) he goes

b) going

c) goes he

I chose option A) he goes, but the teacher told me that B) is the right answer. Could you please tell me your opinion about this? Thanks for your help.
