Going to & present perfect

Hi,

1. You aren't to bring those clothes.

2. You aren't going to bring those clothes.

3. I made some food.

4. I've made some food.

Could you tell me how these sentences sound to you? I mean what are the differences between 1&2 and 3&4 in meaning? Like "1 sounds like an order while 2 is..." or "3 and 4 are totally same. use whichever you like."

Thank you...

Both 1 and 2 sound like orders to me. 3 and 4 mean the same thing. Which one would be used would depend on the circumstances and the speaker.

Hi,

1. You aren't to bring those clothes. Sounds like an order.

2. You aren't going to bring those clothes. Could be intended as an order. Could be a statement of fact. Much depends on the context.

3. I made some food. At some unspecified point in the past. Maybe 1 minute
