Going for a long haul

Hi,

I think Mr. M said that he is not going this type of question on an individual basis for some time because he is weary of the topic, but those of you who can and willing to help me, please do so.

Why the first three are OK with the changes they made (turning the uncountable noun into the countable noun) but no. 4 is not? I got all four from the posts here.

1. An honesty of a true Christian is something to be treasure. (a kind of honesty. a qualified case)

2. A beauty of the new Nissan is its small turning radius. (a kind of beauty that of a new Nissan??)

3. A beauty of the new Nissan that I test-drove yestersay is its small turning radius. (similar to that of no. 2)

4. A beauty of the Princess of Bigman's land is exquisite. (No a kind of beauty -- why???)

4. A [read: The] beauty of the Princess of Bigman's land is exquisite. is exquisite requires the "The beauty," because the beauty in this case is the single/unique (and thus uncountable) beauty assigned to that Princess of Bigman's land.

Thank you.

Still I cannot grasp how the concept of yours, it?? applying to the single/unique something and thus, require the, cannot be applied or are not being applied to the rest of the four original sentences I got from the forum.

1. An honesty of a true Christian is something to be treasured. -- OK here, it might be argued that there might be many/a lot of true Christians.
