'going far astray'

Hey all,

I'm writing a lyric at the moment and am wondering if 'going far astray' is grammatically correct. I know that 'going astray' is. Here's the whole line, so that it can be viewed in context:

That's why I need
You here beside me;
To keep me from going far astray

Thanks a lot in advance,

Stephen
