God bless you

Hi

You know some people believe in God and some don't. I think some people can get offended if you say them something like "God bless you" because they don't believe in God. So, how would you edit the sentence given below to make it work for all? Please help me with it. Thank you.

God blesss you (or, whatever you feel more comfortable with).

Thank you very much for your help/kindness/etc. I am one of those, and I would not like to see it even in the watered-down form you have suggested, Jackson.

Thank you, Mr Micawber.

I should add that, personally, receiving a religious blessing does not offend me; it is simply embarrassing.

Well, I can understand that!Emotion: smile

As you have suggested, it's better to avoid such expressions.

Thanks.

I (we) appreciate your help (assistance, kindness, etc.) Thank you very much.

Many people do not appreciate having blessings conferred upon them in the name of something they do not believe in.

Regards,

John

Hi,

Much depends on why it is being said. In some contexts, 'Good luck to you!' would be OK.
