It's a blessing, a wish. Not a statement. What do you want to ask? «*** bless you, doesn't He?»

Hi, thanks

I asked it just to satisfy my curiousity.

Thank you.

In reference to the wish and blessing, why cannot it be "*** blesses you."? I know we are being blessed by ***.

Hello Believer

"*** blesses you" (which uses the indicative) would be a statement, and is perfectly grammatical; but "*** bless you" (which uses the subjunctive) is a wish.

*** bless you is probably short for "May *** bless you." It is an invocation or an entreaty to *** that He bless you. To say, "*** blesses you" in many religions, would be seen as presumptuous, since we should not presume to know ***'s mind. Of course, this is a theological question and beyond the scope of this forum.

Hello
Is there anyone to help me with this question?
What is the tag question of *** bless you?

There is no tag question for *** bless you, which is a wish, not a statement.
If it were *** blesses you, (which is a statement) you could add the tag question doesn't He? to it.
