Go/come

What's the difference between:

Would you like me to come with me? And

Would you like me to go with you?

I'm asking my friend next to me this question.

First of all you should know the basic difference of "come" and "go".

"Come" is a command to move in the direction towards & "Go" is a command to move in the direction away from.

Generally speaking, we use “come” when talking about the place where we are RIGHT NOW, and we use “go” when talking about another place.

Its all about context of the sentence, by the way you didn't mention about the "another place" .. than go would be more appropriate.

Only the second one makes sense to me. The person called "you" is obviously going somewhere (away from me), not coming (toward me), so only go with you is possible.

I think some people don't pay much attention to the direction sometimes, though, so
