Could you tell me what is the difference between these two?

It's "graphics card", with an ess. That is an all-too-common mistake. The card makes the graphics appear.

I am sorry, but I don't understand what do you mean. I thought you meant something like story boarding in making an animation? This is closest example I can imagine.
