go to bed/turn in/hit the sack

Hi,

I didn't go to bed until midnight.

I didn't turn in until midnight.

I didn't hit the sack until midnight.

Do 'go to bed', 'turn in' and 'hit the sack' mean the same and interchangeable here?

Thanks.

They are the same and interchangeable, with the possible exception that 'hit the sack' is rather informal.
