Go to a museum?

Hi. Please help. Let's say students are back from vacation and you want to ask one of them whether he or she has been to any museum. Beside the usual form, "Have you been to any museum?" or "Have you been to any museums?" (I think they are the usual questions we ask in this type of situation) can you ask "Did you go to a museum" or "Did you go to museums?"
